Key Aspects of the Masterplan

Design

The proposed Masterplan contains an array of broad design guidance which can be used by future architects and designers to ensure that the built form in this development reflects and is informed by the best examples of residential design in the area. The physical characteristics of the site and its immediate surroundings, as well as the nature, extent and distribution of the proposed land uses inform where these may be located

The Design guidance focusses on: Density; Edges and Green Corridors; and Character Areas. A range of key characteristics are included to demonstrate how the distinctive character of the area can be incorporated into any future development proposal.

Within the site, the Masterplan identifies a series of character areas which distinguishes between areas where building can take place at higher densities and where a looser and more rural character may be more appropriate.
